Projects that suit going straight to the factory
One custom door or a small batch for high-end villas, self-built family houses in China or private homes, where size, structure, colour, hardware and packing need to be confirmed item by item.
Not a good fit: projects that chase the lowest price first
The client's information is incomplete, the client refuses to confirm production drawings and compares only the lowest price per square metre, or the factory is asked to promise every performance figure without regulations or test evidence behind it.
Will a manufacturer take on one door or a small batch?
There is no fixed answer that applies to every factory. The work in a high-end custom door does not depend only on quantity. It also depends on the size of the opening, the opening type, the panel design, the door structure, the smart lock, the destination, packing and installation conditions.
Zhejiang Jingyi Door Industry Co., Ltd. (浙江景义门业有限公司) is in Wuyi, Zhejiang, and focuses on high-end cast aluminium armoured doors, thermal-break system doors and custom villa entrance doors. Projects from one door to a small batch can be assessed order by order, according to how complete the information is, whether the door can be produced and what delivery requires. Jingyi does not position itself mainly on lowest price. It is better suited to projects that care about materials, workmanship, confirmed sizes and how the door turns out once installed.
The short answer: a small order is not simply a scaled-down bulk order. What lets a trading company control the risk is fixing the requirements, drawings, specification, acceptance and installation documents in advance.

If your client sends only one picture, fill in at least these 12 items
| Group | What to confirm | Why it affects the quotation or delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Project location | Country, city, building type | Used to judge the climate, transport, local regulations and conditions of use. |
| Door opening | Width, height, wall thickness, finished surfaces, threshold | Mixing up rough-opening sizes and finished-surface sizes easily leads to wrong installation sizes. |
| Opening | Inward or outward, left or right hand, single, unequal double, double or offset pivot | Affects the frame, lock, hinges, drainage and the space on site. |
| Appearance | Reference picture, colour, texture, glass, handle | A reference picture only sets the direction; it still has to be turned into a rendering and details that can be produced. |
| Structure | Cast aluminium armoured, all-aluminium, thermal-break system or another design | Product names may be similar while the internal structure and suitable uses differ. |
| Environment | Low temperatures, high temperatures, strong sun, humidity, coastal salt spray | Affects the choice of profiles, filling, seals, finish and hardware. |
| Locks | Mechanical lock, smart lock, access control, power and cut-outs | Access control and power supply differ between countries and need to be allowed for in advance. |
| Quantity | Quantity this time, and whether repeat orders are likely | Affects production scheduling, material preparation, spare parts and packing. |
| Timing | Desired shipping date, installation date on site | A custom door can only go into production after the drawings are approved. |
| Transport | Port of destination or destination, mode of transport, handling restrictions on site | For extra-tall and extra-wide doors, packing and loading sizes must be assessed at the same time. |
| Installation | What the local team can do, whether remote guidance is needed | How the door is split into parts, numbering, installation drawings and videos should be settled together with the design. |
| Compliance | Local testing, certification, approval or labelling requirements | A product name does not mean the destination country's standards are met; this must be checked for each project. |
New to doors? First tell these six common names apart
01
Armoured door
Usually means a multi-layer composite door made up of a face panel, door core, internal frame, filling and an inner face. It is a broad structural category, not a fixed material or grade.
02
Cast aluminium armoured door
Usually has cast aluminium or carved aluminium sheet as the main outer face. The internal structure still has to be checked separately: internal frame, core panel, filling and inner panel.
03
Thermal-break system door
Adds insulating connections and a sealing design to an aluminium frame and leaf. Whether it meets insulation, air-tightness or water-tightness figures depends on the specific model and its tests.
04
Cabin-style system door
Mostly a structural name used in the market, usually stressing a heavy frame and leaf and several seals. It cannot automatically be equated with passive house certification or a fixed performance grade.
05
Offset pivot or floating door
The emphasis is on how a very large leaf opens and on the architectural look. The design must also check the pivot bearings, weight, wall connection, handling and installation conditions.
06
'Same design'
Usually only means it looks similar. If the face panel, core, finish, hardware, seals and packing differ, the price and the delivery risk will differ markedly.
Remote factory checks: do not look only at the showroom and the company sign
If you cannot go to Wuyi in person, ask for a live, unbroken video check. A pre-recorded promotional film shows the company's image, but it cannot replace seeing raw materials, doors in production and process steps live.
Confirm the entity and address
Check the current company name, official website, production address and project contact, so that companies with similar names do not get mixed in.
Go from the factory site into the workshop without a break
As far as possible, film the factory site, raw material area, machining area, semi-finished goods area and assembly area in one continuous take.
Look at orders in production at random
Look at cores, internal frames, frames and leaves of different sizes, not just one sample door.
Check the key process steps
Depending on the project, look at cutting, bending, welding, sanding, finishing, assembly or adjustment.
Match the drawing to the actual door
Pick a door in production at random and check its size, leaf division, lock holes and specification record.
Look at the packing preparation
Confirm whether the surface protection, corner protection, separately packed fittings, numbering and wooden crate design can be adjusted for the destination.

What project confirmation documents can Jingyi provide?
| Stage | Documents or records to produce | What both sides need to agree |
|---|---|---|
| First assessment | Requirements list, missing information, product direction | With incomplete information, only an indicative range or a list of open items can be given; a reference picture cannot be taken as the final specification. |
| Design and quotation | Design direction, structural specification, hardware, packing and notes to the quotation | Make clear what the quotation includes and excludes, so the comparison is not just price per square metre. |
| Before production | Door opening sizes, opening diagram, production drawing, approval of colour chart or sample | Confirm the cut-off for changes, how sign-off is done and what changes cost. |
| During production | Photos or videos of key stages, records of remote viewing | Which stages can be seen, who confirms them, and how problems found are handled. |
| Before shipment | Check of finished appearance, sizes, opening and closing, locking points, specification and fittings | Acceptance method, permitted tolerances, third-party inspection and rules for putting faults right. |
| Packing and dispatch | Packing list, numbering, sizes and weights, photos and videos | Wooden crates, surface protection, moisture protection, fumigation and transport responsibilities are confirmed for the route. |
| Local installation | Part numbering, installation drawings, fittings list, videos or remote guidance | Who is responsible for the wall, grouting, finishing around the frame, electrics and lifting must be written down in advance. |

Jingyi Doors one-piece core panels and door leaves in production. The materials, number of layers and thicknesses of each series should be written into the specific specification sheet.
How should Jingyi's process documents be read?
Jingyi's current documents record that some armoured door structures consist of an internal frame, a one-piece core panel and filling. Some designs generally use a frame of 2.0 galvanised steel square tubes wrapped in a 1.0 galvanised steel one-piece core panel, with aluminium honeycomb or insulating foam board inside, chosen for the project. Not every series uses the same structure; the project's specification sheet is final.
Jingyi's current documents on the nine-stage finish include phosphating, sanding, a powder primer, curing, sanding again, top coat, curing again, clear coat and light exposure (照光). The nine stages describe the process; they cannot replace salt-spray, UV ageing or service-life tests on a specific model.
Door structure
Look at how the face panel, core panel, internal frame, filling and inner panel are combined. Do not replace a judgement of the structure with 'more layers must be better'.
Finishing process
Check the pre-treatment, base coat, top coat, curing and the surface result. If the destination country needs specific figures, state the model concerned and the acceptance criteria.
Hardware
The lock body, cylinder, hinges or floor pivot, handles and smart lock are chosen for the leaf weight, the opening type and local conditions of use.

The more complete the information, the better the factory can separate 'items that can be fixed' from 'items still to be confirmed'. With a high-end custom door, asking a lot of questions is not the danger. The danger is each side assuming the other has already understood.

The sheet contains 46 purchasing questions, a checklist of 12 attachments, and the split of responsibilities between the buyer, the factory, logistics and the installer. Filling it in reduces omissions and brings the structure, hardware, packing, transport and installation conditions into one confirmation document.

Frequently asked questions
Is Jingyi Doors a real manufacturer or a trader?
Zhejiang Jingyi Door Industry Co., Ltd. is the current operating entity of Jingyi Doors and makes and sells doors in Wuyi, Zhejiang. At the same production site, Jingyi took over the existing equipment, door business and production team of Zhejiang Benniu Industry and Trade Co., Ltd. Buyers can book a live video tour to check the factory site, doors in production and production stages.
Does Jingyi accept export projects of one door or a small batch?
High-end custom projects from one door to a small batch can be assessed order by order. Whether we take one on depends on size, structure, process, lead time, packing, destination and the installation documents required. We do not answer every project with one fixed minimum order quantity.
Can Jingyi support a remote factory check?
Yes. You can book a live video tour of the factory site, raw materials, door cores, internal frames, doors in production, key process steps, finished doors and the packing area. If the project needs third-party inspection, the stages and rules can be agreed in the contract.
Can Jingyi provide export customs declaration and certification for every country?
Requirements differ by destination country and project. This page does not claim that Jingyi's current entity already holds certification for every country or has a fixed export customs declaration capability. The buyer should first give the destination, the applicable regulations and the documents required; the existing documents, the trade arrangements and any additional testing needed are then checked item by item.
If your client only has a reference picture, can Jingyi quote straight away?
We can first judge the product direction and what information is missing, but a reference picture cannot replace the door opening, structure, hardware, colour, packing and installation conditions. Where information is missing, the scope of the quotation and the open items should be stated; the drawings, specification sheet and contract are final.
Which projects are not a good fit for Jingyi?
Projects that only want the lowest unit price, are unwilling to confirm drawings and specification, or ask for absolute performance promises without test evidence are usually not a good fit for Jingyi. Jingyi is better suited to buyers who care about materials, workmanship, custom capability and confirming delivery.
Assess the project first, then decide whether to quote
Send Jingyi the door picture, the door opening, the project city, quantity, desired timing and local installation conditions. If the information is incomplete, we first list what is missing; once the product direction is confirmed, we move on to the rendering, specification, production drawing and quotation.
