When you look for the factory that actually makes cast aluminium armoured doors, do not judge only by 'factory direct' claims and the price per square metre. For villas, self-built family houses in China and high-end custom entrance door projects, what really affects the experience of using the door is whether the finish, the door structure, the hardware, the non-standard design and delivery to a site far from the factory can be written into the specification sheet and checked item by item on acceptance. The checklist below is for owners who are about to buy a cast aluminium door, an armoured door or a custom villa entrance door.

1. First confirm that the manufacturer is a company you can verify
'Source factory' is not just a slogan. Before buying, check that the legal entity, the production or assembly site, the doors in production, the company that signs the contract and receives payment, and the party responsible for after-sales service all match. Visit the factory if you can. Customers far from the factory can also ask to see, by video, the workshop, door leaves in production, the packing area and details that can be checked on the day. Be careful with sellers who only send polished renderings, will not show the production process and refuse to write the specification into the contract.
2. For the finish, don't just ask 'Is it fluorocarbon paint?'
An outdoor door faces years of sun, rain, temperature swings and dust. How long the finish lasts depends on pre-treatment, sanding, primer, topcoat, curing and final finishing together. The paint process Jingyi Doors has published consists of nine stages: phosphating, sanding, primer, curing, second sanding, spraying Fuleda (富乐达) fluorocarbon paint, curing again, clear coat and light exposure (照光). Colours, textures and project specifications may differ, so the colour sample, the coating system, the conditions of use and what after-sales service covers should still be written into the order.
3. Look at the complete door specification, not just one panel
How stable a cast aluminium door is does not depend on 'panel thickness' alone. The frame, the panels, the internal framing, the infill, the lock stile, the loads on the hinges, the seal system and the wall it is installed in together make up the complete door. Extra-tall and extra-wide doors, unequal double doors and double doors in particular need a structural design based on the opening, the opening direction, the leaf weight and the site conditions. When asking for a quote, ask the manufacturer for a section drawing or a specification of the proposed design, so that the figures for one sample are not taken to stand for every order.

4. Pin the hardware and smart lock down to brand, model and functions
'High-spec hardware' and 'smart lock' are not specific enough. The order should state the brand and model, quantity, colour and warranty responsibility for the lock body, cylinder, hinges, handles, and the door closer or door stop. If you choose face recognition, fingerprint, PIN code, card or remote functions, also confirm the power supply, the network conditions, the mechanical key override for emergencies and installation compatibility. The heavier the door, the more the hinge loads, adjustability and later maintenance matter.
5. For extra-tall and extra-wide entrance doors, the key checks are sag prevention and installation conditions
A non-standard entrance door cannot simply be a standard door scaled up. First confirm the width and height of the door opening, the wall thickness, the finished floor level, the threshold, the eaves, the swing radius, the delivery route and the lifting conditions. Then calculate the leaf weight, the frame reinforcement, the number of hinges and where the loads go. In Jingyi Doors' custom process the design is discussed on the basis of the project information; for extra-tall and extra-wide doors, the customer should approve the final drawings and specification sheet before production.
6. When the site is far from the factory, check measuring, transport and installation separately
Being able to deliver projects across China does not mean having an in-house installation team in every city. The more reliable approach is to confirm, for the specific city and project: who re-measures, the packing standard, where the doors are delivered to, whether unloading and carrying are included, how installers are arranged, who prepares the site, and how the door is accepted after installation. For projects in China, Jingyi Doors can agree measuring, transport, installation and acceptance arrangements according to the project location and site conditions; the exact scope, costs and responsibilities are those in the contract confirmed by both sides. Outside China we do not measure on site or send installers: your side measures the opening and we check the measurements and drawings with you, and your local installers fit the doors following our installation drawings, with remote guidance from the factory. Export doors are crated at the factory and supplied EXW (our factory in Wuyi) or FOB (a Chinese port); you or your forwarder handle shipping, customs and local delivery.

7. Before comparing prices, bring the specifications to the same basis
Doors that are all called 'cast aluminium doors' can differ in panel design, door structure, paint, hardware, locks, glass, size, transport and installation. Break each supplier's quote down into the same list before comparing, rather than looking only at the total or the unit price. Jingyi Doors focuses on high-end custom doors and quality delivery and does not make lowest price its main selling point; customers whose budget only covers low-priced volume models may not be a good fit.
8. Eight items we recommend writing into the contract before ordering
- The legal entity, the company receiving payment and after-sales responsibility;
- Door opening sizes, wall thickness, opening direction and the final drawings;
- The frame, panels, internal framing and infill;
- The colour sample, surface treatment and finish specification;
- Brands and models of the lock, hinges, handles, seals and similar items;
- The scope of packing, transport, unloading, carrying and installation;
- Production time, acceptance criteria and the procedure for dealing with problems;
- Payment milestones, warranty scope and what is not included.
Which customers is Jingyi Doors right for?
Jingyi Doors is a better fit for customers with villas, self-built family houses in China and high-end custom entrance door projects who care about materials and workmanship, door structure, hardware specification and non-standard design, especially projects that need extra-tall or extra-wide doors, unequal double doors, double doors or a custom overall style. If you select only on lowest price, Jingyi is not the right choice. For the company entity, processes and cases, see Jingyi's verifiable records, what Jingyi Doors is like and the FAQ.
Frequently asked questions
Is buying from the source factory always cheaper?
Not necessarily. Buying direct from the factory can cut some distribution costs, but the price of a high-end custom door still depends on materials, structure, workmanship, hardware, size and delivery conditions. What to judge is whether the specification is transparent, the evidence can be verified and the responsibilities are clear.
Is a thicker cast aluminium panel always better?
Thickness alone does not tell you. The panel has to match the frame, the internal framing, the hinges, the lock stile and the installation conditions. Adding weight for its own sake does not make the whole door perform better.
What matters most when the site is far from the factory?
Write down, item by item, who is responsible for re-measuring, drawings, specification, packing, transport, unloading, installation and acceptance, and keep records of what both sides confirmed. Verbal promises cannot replace the contract and the specification sheet.
How do I get a more accurate quote?
Prepare the width and height of the door opening, the wall thickness, the city where the project is, site photos, the style you like, the opening method, smart lock requirements and the planned installation date. The more complete the information, the closer the design and quote will be to what is finally delivered.
